What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay pretty average but I am a first year. Increases 5-10% each year. Employee shares scheme
Graduate, Melbourne
It is good, I don't find myself needing more.
Graduate, Adelaide
Bonuses are non-existent, pay is uncompetitive
Graduate, Melbourne
Below market rate. Not a massive problem for year 1 of a graduate program where its still a probationary time but for year 2 and 3 it is almost cripplingly low.
Graduate, Adelaide
Pay is about the industry average for a first year graduate.
Graduate, Melbourne
Pay is below average and graduates miss out on one season of market adjustments. Currently, graduates are on the 2022 equivalent of their pay grade, while everyone else is on the 2023 adjustments
Graduate, Perth
The salary for graduate is pretty low for PM graduate and no bonuses.
Graduate, Adelaide
The pay is competitive.
Graduate, Adelaide
Overall the pay is quite good. It starts off lower (although still high compared to other employers) and you get salary increases throughout the graduate program which is good.

Graduate salaries are very low and are not competitive with other defence and engineering companies. Especially since the cost of living is now extremely high, it just doesn't meet current living standards. Also the salary we were quoted in our contracts a whole year prior to us starting has not increased which is extremely disappointing and the correct rate should have been applied, especially since a whole year had passed (from receiving contracts to starting the position). So I think we are definitely not being paid what we are worth by the company and they need to do better to keep young talent.

From what i have heard from other grads in industry the salary could be better, but it was honestly more than i was expecting so I cant complain
Graduate, Adelaide
In terms of engineering market rate, it's below average. However, it is competitive in the defence realm, and the fact that its a genuinely enjoyable job is a reasonable enough trade (for me).
Graduate, Melbourne
Pay could be better and compared to other companies it is not the best. For graduates at least there are no bonuses.
Graduate, Adelaide
Uncompetitive and low for the work we are doing.
Graduate, Adelaide
Graduate pay is relatively low, but that is reflected in the lowered responsibilities we have. I have not received any bonus yet.
Graduate, Melbourne
I believe that my pay could be improved to better match the difficult economic conditions we are currently living in.
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Newcastle
Pay could be higher to keep in line with inflation and similar to other companies
Graduate, Adelaide
Acceptable.
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Cairns
Good pay however not competitive with other engineering companies - seems they rely on the reputation of their grad program
Graduate, Melbourne
I am comfortable with my pay, but it is financially restrictive. I think also it is concerning that I will be on a similar pay grade for 2 more years, with limited incentive or opportunity for promotion.

Graduate, Melbourne
Leave policies are fairly generous. Annual leave can go negative, sick leave is three weeks after the first year. We also have volunteer leave (2 days per year) and leave for sorry business (5 days). There's also the International Profit Sharing Scheme.
