More about the role

In this exciting role, you will gain exposure to Geotechnical HydroGeo Data Collection including:

• Data Collection – Geotech Core and Face mapping
• Groundwater and Data management

You will get hands-on exposure to the following Tech Services Experience and Geotech Production fundamentals:

• Drill and Blast Crew (3 months)
• Ore sampling and Lab work
• Survey pick up and set out
• Dig block mark up
• Geotech Production
• Iron Ore and Lithium Asset experience
• Software (Surpac, RocScience, AcQuire, Quikslope) and Project work – JHA and Take Times

In addition to this you will gain valuable technical development in the following areas for Managing Pit Slope Design, Monitoring and Planning:

• Hazard Mapping
• Monthly Geotech reporting
• Geotech Design Presentation

To be eligible for the 2024 Mineral Resources Graduate Program, you’ll need to:

• Hold a recognised tertiary Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering Undergrad
• Be in your final year of study, graduating in 2023 or have graduated from a recognised university within the past two years.
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have full working rights at the time of application and for the duration of the program.
• Be available to start with MinRes full-time at the end of February 2024
• Ideally, you would have completed a vacation program in the mining and resources sector. This is preferred but not essential.
