It’s never been a more exciting time to kickstart a career in water and we’re thrilled to open applications for the Urban Utilities two-year UrbanGrad graduate program commencing in early February 2023.

We’re not your average water business. We’re changing, we’re innovative and we like to challenge ourselves and push boundaries. Plus, we’re extremely passionate about building a culture where our people feel empowered to make a difference and are curious and excited about what they do.

Our Graduate Program is no exception. UrbanGrad is a challenging and rewarding two-year graduate program jam-packed with opportunities for you to utilise all the hard work and dedication you’ve put into your degree and genuinely contribute to making a REAL difference to the lives of our customers and communities. 

With opportunities available for Engineering graduates across a range of disciplines, including Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, we invite applications from:

  • self-starters who bring their enthusiasm and open mind to learn and grow and have a strong customer and community connection and passion for making things better
  • adaptable collaborators, willing to deal with change, challenge and ambiguity

As a two-year program, UrbanGrad offers rotations in areas within the Service Delivery, Integrated Solutions and Environmental and Industrial groups, providing ample opportunity for you to explore and contribute to a range of projects across the business.

These experiences are designed to help you understand where your particular skills and interests best fit within the different types of Engineering roles that are available – from modelling to analysis, optimisation to design, construction to planning, one of the hardest decisions you have to make as an UrbanGrad Engineer is where to begin your career. This program will help you work that out! 

Eligibility criteria:

  • You must be a recent Engineering graduate having completed your degree in the last 24 months
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
