Once I, my team and all contractors are on site, we kick off a day with brief ‘pre-start’ meeting which is also known as toolbox meeting to run through planned activities for the day, discuss the outcomes from the previous day, and highlight any safety concerns and potential risks.

Work in the Urbis Planning team varies from day-to-day and I'm starting to believe the adage that planners know a little about a lot.

This meeting is a good chance to meet and greet a few of the Tenders and hear about what other jobs in the industry are going on. The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize the contractors with the site before they submit a tender.
